LHC is Back, with Big Data!
Prof. LIU Tao (Assistant Professor of Physics, HKUST) and Prof. TU Yanjun (Assistant Professor of Physics, HKU)

The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) in Switzerland, the most powerful particle accelerator in the world, is back in operation on 5 April 2015 and steps into its Run II era. The Joint Consortium for Fundamental Physics comprising representatives from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), the University of Hong Kong (HKU) and the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is the Hong Kong cluster of this massive project.
