Dr. Zhai Jian received his PhD in Computational and Applied Mathematics from Rice University in 2018. Before joining HKUST IAS, he was a visiting lecturer at the University of Washington in Seattle. His research interests include Inverse Problems, Partial Differential Equations, and Scientific Computing.

Dr. Zhai worked with Prof. Gunther UHLMANN.
