Dr. Joseph Robles received both his BSc major in Medical Technology and MD from The University of Santo Tomas in Manila. After working for a few years in the clinics he decided to join Prof CHAN Chi-Fung's laboratory as a PhD candidate in the University of Hong Kong. He worked on in vivo GVHD models to test the immunosuppressive properties of mesenchymal stem cells and a few clinical projects in bone marrow transplantation. He obtained his PhD degree in Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation Immunology in 2015. He authored and co-authored 4 scientific papers to date. His current research interest focuses on the involvement of aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases in various types of cancers.
