Dr. Chen Wanjing (Kelly) received her PhD in Geography from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2020 before joining the research group under Prof. Ching Kwan LEE in The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. She is interested in exploring the relation between state and capital in the ongoing globalization of Chinese political economy. Dr. Chen’s current research examines how the Chinese state mobilizes the offshoring of capital from afar by invoking the imaginative geography of ‘One Belt One Road’ (OBOR).
