Prof. Albert Ha received his PhD from Stanford University in 1992. Prior to joining HKUST in 2001, he has served on the faculty of the School of Management of Yale University for nine years. He also serves as an Associate Editor of Management Science, Operations Research and Manufacturing and Service Operations Management and a Department Editor of Production and Operations Management. He is currently Wei Lun Foundation Professor of Business of the Department of Information Systems, Business Statistics and Operations Management at HKUST.

Prof. Ha’s research interests are in the areas of Supply Chain Management and Economics of Queuing Systems. He has published in journals such as Management Science, Operations Research, Naval Research Logistics, IIE Transactions and European Journal of Operational Research. He won the Franklin Prize for Teaching Excellence from HKUST Business School in 2002 and 2007.
