Dr. Tomas Thornquist received his PhD in Finance from the Stockholm School of Economics in 2016. His thesis and other research have focused on the growing subfield of household finance, studying the financial behavior of households. Drawing from his extensive professional experience in software development, Dr. Thornquist attempts to stay at the forefront of technological advancements applicable to economics in general and finance in particular. Since the fall of 2016, Dr. Thornquist has been appointed as a Research Assistant Professor of the Department of Finance at HKUST.
