Dr. Sheong Fu Kit received his PhD in Chemistry from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) in 2016 under the support of the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme. After graduation, he worked as a Research Associate of the Department of Chemistry at HKUST from 2016 to 2019. Dr. Sheong has been appointed as a Research Assistant Professor of the Department of Chemistry and concurrently a Junior Fellow of HKUST Jockey Club Institute for Advanced Study since June 2019. Dr. Sheong has broad research interest in theoretical and computational chemistry ranging from chemical bonding analysis, reaction mechanism elucidation, to kinetic network models. He is currently exploring the possibility of leveraging the power of data analysis and machine learning tools to better understand chemistry and related molecular sciences.
