Dr. LI Qiang received his BS in Microelectronics from Peking University in 2009, followed by his PhD in Electronic and Computer Engineering from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) in 2014. After graduation, he worked as a Research Associate in the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering of HKUST for one year and has been appointed as a Research Assistant Professor in the same department since September 2015. His current research focuses on lattice-mismatched hetero-epitaxy of III-V compound semiconductors on silicon for electronics and photonics. Dr. Li has authored/co-authored over 25 refereed journal papers. He is the Principal Investigator of one research project funded by General Research Fund (GRF) and the deputy project manager of one research project funded by Innovation and Technology Fund (ITF).
