Dr. Daniel Junghans received his Diploma in physics from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg in 2009 and his PhD from the University of Hanover in 2013. Before joining IAS, he spent a year as a Visiting Scholar at the Department of Physics of HKUST. His current research focuses on the application of string theory to cosmology and phenomenology. 

Dr. Junghans worked with Prof. Gary Shiu.
