Miss Carol Lau received her BSc and her Master of Philosophy Degree in Biochemistry from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2000 and 2002 respectively. She worked as Senior Technical Officer in the Genome Research Centre of the University of Hong Kong in 2004-2008 for HapMap Project and provided genetics and proteomics technical support for scientists. In 2008, she joined the IAS HKUST-Scripps R&D laboratory under the supervision of Prof. Paul SCHIMMEL (IAS Senior Visiting Member) and Prof. ZHANG Mingjie.
