Research Assistant Professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, HKUST

Dr. Zhong Siyang received his Bachelor and Master degrees from Peking University in 2011 and 2014 respectively. He then obtained his PhD in 2018 from the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). Dr Zhong worked as a Research Associate after graduation before being appointed as a Research Assistant Professor in MAE and concurrently a Junior Fellow at the HKUST Jockey Club Institute for Advanced Study (IAS) since September 2019. He is interested in the fundamental studies of aeroacoustics, aerodynamics and their applications to the practical industrial problems using hybrid approaches of theoretical analysis, numerical simulations and experimental measurements. He is currently working on the prediction and reduction methods for airfoil/rotor noise and the advanced sound source imaging methods.
