Dr. Giorgio MANZONI
Dr. Giorgio Manzoni received his PhD from the Institute for Computational Cosmology (ICC) and the Centre for Extragalactic Astronomy (CEA) at Durham University in 2022, before joining HKUST IAS as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the same year. During his PhD studies, Dr. Manzoni worked on Galaxy Formation semi-analytic models, testing different galaxy redshift surveys like PAUS and VIPERS. He has been particularly involved in galaxy evolution studies with a focus on galaxy colors. After gaining expertise in High-Performance Computing using COSMA Durham facilities, he is now working on JWST and in particular on the development of its pipeline.
Dr. Manzoni works with Prof. George SMOOT and Prof. Tao LIU, Department of Physics.
