李伯重教授
Prof. Li Bozhong received his PhD in History from Xiamen University in 1985. Before joining HKUST in 2010, he worked in different academic institutions, including the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Tsinghua University, University of Michigan, University of California at Los Angeles, California Institute of Technology, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Harvard University, the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, the National Humanities Center, University of Cambridge, London School of Economics and Political Science, L'Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales, University of Tokyo, Keio University, Academia Sinica.
Prof. Li’s research interests include Chinese social and economic history, Ming and Qing history, Chinese military history as well as comparative history. He has published 8 books in the field. He is also a member of the Executive Committee of International Economic History Association (IEHA) and Honorable Fellow of Toyo Bunko.
