Dr. Yao Jingwen received his PhD in Material Physics and Chemistry from the South China University of Technology (SCUT) in 2021 before joining HKUST IAS as a postdoctoral fellow in the same year. During his PhD period, Dr. Yao researched in the exciton management and mechanism analysis of high performance white organic light-emitting diodes (OLED). Dr. Yao’s current research includes developing long-lifetime blue OLED, investigating the device degradation mechanisms, and developing the fabrication methods for ultrahigh-resolution OLED displays.
