Dr. Kaiwen (Kevin) Tian received his BS in Physics in 2011 from the University of Science and Technology of China followed by his PhD in Physics in 2018 under the supervision of Prof. Robert Carpick at the University of Pennsylvania. He then worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Cornell University for about one year. His previous research interests included soft matter physics, nanotribology, and droplet mechanics while his current focus is on the mechanics of polymer thin films.
