Dr. Sombuddha Bhattacharyya received his PhD in Mathematics from Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Centre for Applicable Mathematics, Bangalore, India in 2017. Then he joined HKUST Jockey Club Institute for Advanced Study as a Postdoctoral Fellow.

Dr. Bhattacharyya has been working on Calderón type Inverse problems for harmonic and polyharmonic operators defined on Euclidean and Riemannian manifolds. His research also includes geometric Inverse problems concerning inversion of (attenuated) geodesic ray transforms.

Dr. Bhattacharyya worked with Prof. Gunther UHLMANN.
