Dr. Raymond H. Y. Louie received the combined BE degree in electrical engineering and BSc degree in computer science from the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia, in 2006 and the PhD degree in electrical engineering from the University of Sydney, Australia, in 2010. He was then an ARC Australian Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Sydney, prior to joining the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2013, where he was a Research Assistant Professor. He was a Visiting Scholar at the Institute for Medical Engineering and Science at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2014.

Dr. Louie’s research interests include computational immunology, biomedical engineering, big data analysis, cognitive radio, ad hoc networks, MIMO systems, cooperative communications, network coding, and multivariate statistical theory. He was awarded a Best Paper Award at IEEE Global Communications Conference in 2010.
