Dr. LU Qing received her BSc in Chemistry from Nanjing University in 2009, followed by her PhD degree in Biochemistry from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) in 2014. In the spring of 2015, Dr. Lu was appointed as a Research Assistant Professor of the Division of Life Science at HKUST. She works in Prof. Mingjie Zhang's lab and her research focuses on of using atomic-level protein structure to reveal the underlying molecular mechanisms of various unconventional myosins, which are closely associated with the human genetic diseases such as hearing loss and neurological disorders.
