Dr. Li Tengfei received his Bachelor's degree from Fudan University in 2007, and got his PhD in Mathematics in 2012 (supervised by Prof. YING Zhiliang). During his PhD career, he spent two years visiting the Department of Statistics at Columbia University. He worked on some model selection approaches and data mining techniques. After that, he joined the Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science at the Chinese Academy of Science as a Postdoctoral Fellow and studied some portfolio selection approaches in financial area. In September 2014, he joined IAS of HKUST as a Postdoctoral Fellow. His interests mainly include model selection, machine learning and data mining, and financial statistics.
