Dr. Tianwei Hao received his PhD in Civil Engineering from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) in 2014. Then he worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at HKUST from 2014 to 2016. In September 2016, he became a Research Assistant Professor in the department and concurrently appointed as a Junior Fellow in the Institute for Advanced Study. His research focuses on biological wastewater treatment, solid wastes treatment, granular sludge, as well as recovery of energy and resources from sewage.
