Dr. Kaiyu Hang completed his PhD in Computer Science under the supervision of Prof Danica Kragic at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden in 2016. Before that, he received his MSc in Communication Systems from KTH in 2012 and BEng in Information and Communication Engineering from Xi'an Jiaotong University in 2010. Since January 2017, he has been appointed as a Research Assistant Professor with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and the Robotics Institute in HKUST. His research interests include robotic manipulation, machine vision and robotic operating systems. Previously, he was involved in EU FP-7 project TOMSY, ERC project FlexBot and EU FP-8 project RobDREAM.
