Dr. Condon Lau received his Bachelor of Science and Engineering Degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University in 2004 and his Master of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2006. He received his PhD from MIT in 2009 for developing optical spectroscopy and imaging techniques for early cancer detection. Dr. Lau worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Biomedical Imaging and Signal Processing Laboratory of the University of Hong Kong developing functional magnetic resonance imaging techniques for studying the auditory and visual systems. He has authored over 10 papers in NeuroImage, Optics Express, Optics Letters, etc. His current research interests include (1) developing simultaneous magnetic resonance and optical imaging techniques for system and cellular level imaging, (2) studying brain function using neuroimaging, and (3) advancing early disease detection.
