Dr. Liang An received his Bachelor’s degree in Thermal and Power Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology in 2008, and got his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from HKUST in 2012. He worked as a Visiting Scholar at the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering in HKUST (2012-2014). In September 2014, he joined IAS as a Postdoctoral Fellow.

Dr. An has authored and co-authored 18 journal papers. His research interests are in the area of clean energy-conversion technologies and renewable energy-storage technologies. He has particular research interests in fuel cells, Li-air batteries, flow batteries, and water electrolysis.

Dr. An worked with Prof. ZHAO Tianshou.
