The Emergence of An Outward Looking China

Abstract

China is emerging from an inward to an outward looking nation. In economic development it is moving from receiving foreign investment to investing abroad. In education, science and technology, it is moving from learning to innovating. This lecture examines both aspects and the role that Hong Kong may play in this important historical development.
