Overview
Chiral materials represent a rapidly evolving field of material research dedicated to exploring substances that exhibit chirality—a fundamental property that permeates various disciplines, including chemistry, physics, and biology. This field studies chiral molecules, asymmetric structures, and unique properties found in surfaces and nanostructures, revealing multiple applications in pharmaceuticals, optoelectronics, catalysis, and nanotechnology. Its interdisciplinary nature makes it an important research topic, attracting scientists from various fields, including fundamental research and practical applications. In recent years, significant progress has been made in the development of chiral materials, particularly in synthesis methods, chiral characterization techniques, chiral optoelectronic devices, and the application of chirality in biological systems.
This focused program will bring together the renowned experts in chiral materials to discuss the latest developments in chiral materials, asymmetric catalysis, chiral optics, chirality and spin interactions (theory and experiments), chirality and spin in biology, and chiral optoelectronics.
