Boundary and Lens Rigidity for Non Convex Manifolds

Abstract

The speaker will show in dimension 2 boundary rigidity and lens rigidity for non-trapping manifold with no conjugate points, but he and his collaborators do not put assumption on the topology and on the convexity of the boundary. In higher dimension, they show that injectivity of X-ray transform under more general assumptions. This is a joint work with Marco Mazzucchelli and Leo Tzou.

About the speaker

Dr. Colin Guillarmou received his PhD at the University of Nantes in 2004 and undertook postdoctoral research at Purdue University in 2005. Then he joined the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) as a researcher and stationed at the Université Nice Sophia Antipolis from 2005 to 2009 and at École Normale Supérieure from 2009 to 2016. He is currently a Research Director for CNRS at Université Paris-Sud.

Dr. Guillarmou’s research interests include partial differential equations, differential geometry and spectral theory. He was awarded the CNRS Bronze Medal in mathematics in 2010.
