Overview

Welcome to the official website of the 4th International Workshop on Neural Engineering and Rehabilitation. The workshop will be held in Chengdu, China in Aug 6 -8, 2023.

Neural Engineering is an exciting interdisciplinary technology that greatly influences neuroscience, information science, computation, and robotics. The development of novel devices allows the acquisition of neural activity when the brain receives stimuli from the external world and further encodes them into high neural activity with high spatial and temporal resolution. The interpretation of perception, action, and learning enhances our understanding of how information passes through different brain regions and generates a decision at the behavioral level. The application of neural engineering technology includes neural interfacing, which is inspired by the rehabilitation needs to restore aspects of cognitive functions for the disabled, such as memory loss and motor paralysis.

This workshop invites world-leading experts to exchange the latest developments in neural interfacing hardware, neural signal processing, algorithm research, and also translational research topics in applying neural technologies in the clinical population. We aims to promote interdisciplinary interactions among the fields of neuroscience, information science, computation, and robotics, leading to novel ideas and long-term productive international collaborations research projects in neural engineering and neurorehabilitation.

Participants will have the opportunity to exchange ideas and stimulate novel and collaborative ideas. We look forward to your participation!
