Organelle Biogenesis and Membrane Trafficking
Overview
Eukaryotic cells, from yeast to animal cells, are subdivided into multiple subcellular membrane compartments. These subcellular membrane compartments form intracellular organelles that are essential for the growth and survival of cells and their communication with the environment. This event will focus on how organelles are formed, how they assume their characteristic shape, and the trafficking of membrane and protein cargoes between organelles.
