Natural Inflation and the Weak Gravity Conjecture: Part 2

Abstract

The speaker will continue discussing the implications of quantum gravity constraints, formulated in terms of the “Weak Gravity Conjecture", on models of natural inflation. He will review several ideas proposed in the literature to evade these constraints and argue how different generalizations of the conjecture put severe limits on them.
