Dr. Liu Yang received his PhD in Philosophy from Columbia University in 2015. He joined the University of Cambridge as a Research Fellow in the same year and later he became a Senior Research Fellow of the Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence and of the Faculty of Philosophy. In September 2022, he joined HKUST as a Research Assistant Professor in the Division of Humanities and concurrently as a Junior Fellow in the HKUST Jockey Club Institute for Advanced Study. His research interests include Logic, Foundations of Probability, Mathematical and Philosophical Decision Theory, and Philosophy of Artificial Intelligence.
